The truck, carrying timber, fell off a bridge across the Malaprabha river after the driver lost control.

BELAGAVI: A truck carrying timber fell 50 feet from a bridge across the Malaprabha river near MK Hubballi in Kittur taluk after the driver lost control. Miraculously, the driver survived the mishap.

The truck was completely smashed.

The truck was on its way from Chikkamagalur to Maharashtra carrying timber when it fell off a bridge on the Pune-Bengaluru national highway. Due to the impact, the truck was completely crushed, but the driver Ramdas Gode (42), hailing from Maharashtra, luckily survived.

The Kittur police visited the spot and registered a case.
