The truck rolled over after going off the edge of the road.

CHIKKAMAGALUR: A truck rolled down 100 feet into a gorge due to poor visibility on the Charmadi Ghat on Saturday. The incident occurred near Somanakadu in Mudigere taluk.

The truck overturned after it went over the edge of the road at a curve and rolled down about 100 feet. Luckily, the driver and cleaner were saved by a tree and were rescued by locals.

An ambulance driver went down to check if anyone was trapped.

The ghat road is covered in thick mist and fog over the last few days. The truck was transporting packaged water from Puttur to Chitradurga. The Banakal police visited the spot and have registered a case.
