Tremors measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale were felt at two villages in Sedam taluk on Wednesday morning.

KALABURAGI: Tremors were felt at Bekanahalli and Saath villages in Sedam taluk as an earthquake of magnitude 3.4 on the Richter scale struck the district on Wednesday morning, according to the National Centre for Seismology.

Anxious villagers came out on the streets.

The tremors were felt at 9.48 am on Wednesday at a depth of 5 km and lasted for about five seconds. “Earthquake of magnitude 3.4 occurred on 18-01-2023, 09:48:26 IST, Lat: 17.06 & Long: 77.18, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Kalaburagi, Karnataka,” the National Centre for Seismology tweeted. (ANI)
