BELAGAVI: A huge tree standing in the city’s prime location crashed in the middle of the street, damaging two autorickshaws and a Toyota Innova MUV.
The tree, which had grown on the Forest Department office premises, fell on the road leading to the bus stand. The driver of an autorickshaw and his two passengers had a miraculous escape.
The falling tree also damaged the rear portion of a government bus and then on a few parked autorickshaws. The tree was immediately removed by the forest personnel.
