Traffic constable attacked for clamping car in no-parking zone

The traffic constable was assaulted by two men.

BENGALURU: A traffic police constable was beaten up a car owner for clamping the vehicle which was parked in a no-parking zone on Kammanahalli road in Banaswadi on Wednesday evening.

Constable Umesh had clamped the car belonging to a family as it was parked in a no-parking zone. The family members, who came there at that time, picked an argument with the constable.

In a video doing the rounds, two men can be seen thrashing the constable and abusing him in foul language even as a young woman collapses beside the car. Based on a complaint filed by the constable, the Banaswadi police have registered a case.
