Tourists narrowly escape wild elephant attack due to safari driver’s quick thinking

CHIKKAMAGALURU: Tourists on a safari narrowly escaped a wild elephant near the Bhadra right-bank canal, close to Lakkavalli in Tarikere taluk on Friday.

The tourists were travelling in a jeep belonging to Jungle Lodges and Resorts for a safari. At that moment, near the Bhadra Ranganatha Swamy temple, a wild elephant chased the jeep. As they were about to be attacked by a wild elephant, the driver quickly reversed the jeep, displaying presence of mind.

Due to the driver’s quick response, the tourists narrowly escaped the elephant’s attack. A video of the elephant chasing the jeep was captured on the tourists’ camera and has gone viral on social media.
