BENGALURU: With polling day being declared a paid holiday for many, several tourist destinations across the state will be closed for visitors with a view to increase voting.

In Bengaluru, the Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) will be closed on May 10. This will also facilitate the park staff to cast their votes, said the administrative officer.

The view point at Nandi Hills was full with crowds eager to watch the sunrise.

The popular destination Nandi Hills on the outskirts of Bengaluru will also be closed to visitors from 5 am to 8 pm on Wednesday. Online bookings have also been stopped, according to Chikkaballapur Deputy Commissioner Nagaraju.
