Toddler locks himself up in room at home, rescued by firemen

KOPPAL: A 21-month-old child, who had accidentally locked himself up in a room at home, was safely rescued by the Fire and Emergency Services personnel.

The boy, who was playing at home on Sunday, went up to the first floor and locked himself up in a room. The boy’s mother tried hard, but could not free him. Unable to come out, the child had started crying. The boy’s father Suresh is an inspector with the District Crime Record Bureau (DCRB).

The Fire and Emergency Services personnel, who arrived at the house successfully managed to pry open the door using crowbars, hammers and bolt cutters. The swift action by the firemen was hailed by the family members and the local residentss.
