CHIKKABALLAPUR: In a major pileup, a tipper crashed into seven cars at the Kempegowda Circle in Devanahalli on Friday. The accident led to a huge traffic jam on National Highway-44 for several kilometres.
The damaged cars include a BMW, a Mahindra Thar, Toyota Etios Liva, Hyundai Santro, Tata Indica and a Maruti Swift. The tipper driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot.
The Devanahalli traffic police visited the spot and seized the tipper. They also cleared the road of the damaged cars and made way for flow of traffic.
