Tilting 18-floor apartment tower near Kudlu to be demolished on August 28

BENGALURU: Preparations began on Thursday for the demolition of am 18-storey apartment tower at SNN Raj Etternia in Haralur near Kudlu, which will start on August 28. The building is the tallest in Bengaluru’s history which is to be brought down due to structural tilt, which has rendered it dangerous.

The huge apartment complex has been constructed at a cost of Rs 200 crore and the real estate firm itself will carry out demolition work and bear the entire expenses. The demolition is expected to be carried out through controlled explosion.

One of the residential towers has suffered structural damage it has tilted to one side and hence is being brought down due fear of future tragedy. Since the surrounding area is a residential apartment area, there is curiosity about how the skyscraper operation will be will be carried out.

The residential tower is considered to be the tallest apartment buildings and was built by SNN Raj Corp. Its unscientific construction had also caused quite a lot of suspicion.
