HUBBALLI: Three people survived with injuries after a goods vehicle rammed into a parked lorry near Anchatageri on the outskirts of the city on Friday. The three men, who was trapped in the vehicle, were rescued by locals.
Local residents alleged that though the police and the 108 ambulance service were alerted around 5 am, they did not arrive until two hours later. By then, the locals had pulled out the three men stuck in the goods vehicle and shifted them to KIMS hospital.
Local residents vented their anger against the police and the ambulance service for not responding to the emergency immediately. The police later visited the hospital and recorded the statements of the victims. A case has been registered at the Hubballi Rural police station.
