Three seriously injured after cylinder blast in Anekal taluk

BENGALURU: Three people suffered burn injuries after a LPG gas cylinder burst at Kachanayakanahalli in Anekal taluk on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Monday.

The condition of one of the victims, Bidan Das, is critical and he is battling  for his life. The other two, Dayal Shanti and Gulab Karmakar, have also suffered serious injuries and are being treated at Narayana Health City Hospital in Bommasandra.

The victims, who are labourers from Assam, were living in a rented house. They were working as security guards in a private layouts. The house belonged to one Ramesh.

The blast occurred when the victims lit a lamp in the morning. They had not switched off the cylinder’s regulator before going to bed last  night. The fire department and Surya Nagar police have visited the spot and are investigating the incident.
