CHITRADURGA: Three PUC students died after they drowned in a lake in Nandana Hosur village of Holalkere taluk on Tuesday evening. The deceased have been identified as Girish, Sanjay and Manu.
The three had gone to Gundi Kere on the outskirts of the village for a swim. When they did not return in the evening, the family members went and checked near the lake and found their bodies.
One of them knew how to swim, but two others did not. It is suspected that the three drowned in a deep spot in the lake. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination to the government hospital. A case has been registered at Chitrahalli Gate police station and further investigation is under way.
