BENGALURU: Days after arresting a Pakistani national and his Bangladeshi wife, along with her parents, the Jigani police have arrested three more Pakistan nationals.

The arrested include two women and a man who were in touch with the arrested couple. The arrests were made based on information provided by the arrested Pakistani national Rashid Ali Siddiqui and his wife.

The police have already formed four teams to trace Pakistani nationals living illegally in Bengaluru. Following the arrest of Rashid Ali and his wife, the police have learnt that their main objective was to propagate Islam across the country through the Mehdi Foundation. The police have found religious material on Rashid Ali’s electronic devices which have been seized.

Rashid Ali entered India on a fake passport and was living near Jigani since 2018. He had come to Bengaluru on the instructions of preacher Younus Algor who is based in Nepal.
