Three farmers from Kurnool die in road accident near Davanagere

DAVANAGERE: Three farmers from Singarajanahalli in Mantralayam taluk of Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, died and six others were injured after the goods vehicle they were travelling in overturned when one of its rear tyres burst, on the national highway on the outskirts of the city early on Monday.

The farmers were on their way to Byadagi in Haveri district to sell their chilli produce. Five seriously injured were shifted to the district government hospital in Davanagere while one was shifted to KIMS in Hubballi.

The deceased were identified as Mustan, S T Veeranna and Pedda Venkanna. Every year, they would bring their produce to Byadagi to sell. The Davanagere South traffic police have registered a case.
