SHIVAMOGGA: Three people died when a goods vehicle, carrying labourers returning home from work near Balehonnur, collided with a roadside tree near Gondi Chattanahalli village early on Thursday morning. It is said that the driver was feeling drowsy, leading to the accident.
The deceased were identified as Asadulla (35), Sadiq (31), and Fairoz (33). The driver Irfan sustained minor injuries and was admitted to a local hospital. Sadiq and Irfan were migrant laborers from Uttar Pradesh.
A case has been registered at the Shivamogga Rural police station.
