UDUPI: Three students of a private optometry and paramedical science college here were suspended after some other girls complained that the trio had hidden mobile phones in the women’s washroom and were filming them.
Three Muslim girls had allegedly planted mobile phones in the women’s washroom to film the others. When some Hindu girls found out about, they took the trio to task for shooting videos and it soon turned into a major argument. The college authorities immediately intervened and suspended the three girls who were filming the others.
After the incident came to light, Hindu groups have demanded suitable action and insisted that the college authorities lodge a complaint with the police. Though no complaint had been filed, the Malpe police visited the college today and recorded the statements of the staff.
