Thieves break into jewellery store by cutting open two doors, make away with valuables worth lakhs

BENGALURU: Thieves broke into a jewellery store at Kammasandra in Hebbagodi by cutting open a sliding iron door and a rolling shutter with a gas cutter and made away with gold and silver articles worth about lakhs, on Wednesday night.

The thieves had cut open a sliding door and a rolling shutter to gain entry.

The jewellery store, belonging to one Nirmal, is a stone’s throw away from the Hebbagodi police station on the Hebbagodi-Kammasandra road in Anekal taluk. Nirmal hails from Rajasthan.

Additional SP Parashuram and other senior officials, along with the dog squad and fingerprint experts, visited the spot. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
