BENGALURU: T Nazir, a prime terror accused who is currently lodged in Bengaluru Central Jail, has admitted before the CCB police that he only brainwashed youths, but he does not have any idea about the collection of weapons. The accused skipped answers during interrogation, and blamed Junaid, who is absconding, saying that he was responsible for everything.

Nazir has also admitted that he was the one who brainwashed Junaid and had that he had received foreign funding. Nazir said he wanted to get out of jail soon, by that time, he got caught in the suspected terror case. He said he received financial help from foreign countries many times to do business in jail.

Sources in the CCB said that Nazir would break down if tough questions were posed to him. The CCB is also looking into the organisation behind Junaid as he is learnt to have spent a lot of money and extended financial help to others while stays abroad. Investigators feel that there is a possibility that some major organisation is backing Junaid.

So far, the police have not been able to establish the intended target of the huge cache of weapons that were seized from the house of the arrested five suspects. Nazir also refused to answer questions on the issue and, if pressed, he would point to Junaid claiming that he was the mastermind, the sources pointed out.
