BENGALURU: Television actor Tsunami Kitty and his friend Chetan Gowda have been accused of assault at Mirage pub in Ashok Nagar limits.
Tsumani Kitty is said to have gone their with his friends and got into a brawl after consuming alcohol. The group uncorked a champange bottle which is said to have spilled on two others, Krishna and Prashant. When the duo went up to question the group about the champagne spilling on them, a brawl ensued.
Prashant has lodged a complaint with the Cubbon Park police alleging that unknown persons used foul language and assaulted them. Another complaint has been lodged over spilling alcohol and assault. Prashant claimed that the champagne was intentionally spilt on them. The Cubbon Park police have registered both cases.
However, Kitty has claimed that he was not present at the time of the incident and added that his name has been dragged into the whole controversy.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Srinivas Gowda said the incident occurred on July 28 and that four persons, including Tsunami Kitty, were taken into custody with the help of the pub security staff as soon as the brawl broke out. All the four were questioned and released on station bail. Kitty and his friends too have lodged a counter-complaint, the officer added.
