BENGALURU: A married woman techie committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan around 10 pm on Monday at Jogupalya in the city. The deceased has been identified as Divya (30).
Divya was married to techie Aravind in 2014 and the couple have two children. The couple were working as software engineers for a private company.
When Divya did not open the door at Monday night, Aravind immediately informed his mother-in-law’s family over the phone.
It is alleged that Divya was facing mental torture by her husband’s family member after marriage. Now Divya’s parents are accusing her husband and his family members of murder. Following a complaint, Aravind was taken into custody by the Halasur police.
