Tunnel boring machine Rudra achieved breakthrough at Langford station on Thursday afternoon.

BENGALURU: With work on Phase 2 of the Namma Metro project going on, tunnel boring machine (TBM) Rudra made a breakthrough at the Langford station on Thursday after 100 days.

TBM Rudra achieved the feat in 100 days.

The TBM Rudra started tunnelling work on the Lakkasandra-Langford Town underground section on July 7 this year and achieved breakthrough on October 26 afternoon. The TBM has drilled the tunnel for 718 metres and is the seventh being used for the Phase 2 project.
