Tanker climbs on to railway track after brakes fail, two trains delayed

The tanker came to a halt on the railway track after its brakes failed.

CHIKKABALLAPUR: A bullet tanker got stuck on a railway track after its brakes failed, behind the Apollo petrol bunk here on Wednesday. Luckily, no train was moving on the track at that time.

The tanker came hurtling from BB Road and got stuck on the railway track. The truck driver survived with some minor injuries.

At least two trains bound for Bengaluru were delayed.

As a result of the accident, two trains which were to leave for Bengaluru at 1 pm and 1.40 pm were delayed for some time till the track was cleared. The trains were scheduled to run just a few minutes after the accident, but on getting information, the railway authorities delayed the movement of the trains.
