Suspected terrorists had drawn sketches of BMTC bus routes, Hindu leaders were also targets

BENGALURU:  The investigation by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police in the case of the arrested five terror suspects has been revealing interesting details every day. It now turns out that the five had targeted BMTC buses as part of their plan to carry out major blasts in the city.

Lakhs of people travel by BMTC bus every day and hence, the terror suspects had planned to target BMTC buses and blow them up. Also, it has come to light that they were preparing a BMTC route map where the passenger density is the highest.

The accused also allegedly targeted the opposition unity meeting in Bengaluru, but they failed because of the high security. During investigation, it was also revealed that sketches were made to carry out blasts in Bengaluru and coastal areas where people congregate.

It is also being said that the five wanted to kill a Hindu leaders and it is suspected that photos of Hindu leaders who were to be targeted were sent to the absconding accused Junaid. Meanwhile, the CCB is preparing to issue a lookout notice for Junaid and have also discussed it with NIA officials.
