YADGIR: Students of the Dr B R Ambedkar Hostel at Shahpur staged a protest demanding better food and other facilities at their hostel. The students alleged that they were being served poor-quality food and were denied proper meals.
The protest, which took place in the chilly morning on Friday, saw students gathering at Basaveshwara Circle, demanding immediate resolution to their grievances. They also sought essential amenities at the hostel.
Social worker Chaitra Konkal supported the students’ cause, joining them in their protest.
