BENGALURU: Children will not have to wake up very early and rush to school on Saturday mornings. The Primary Education Department has changed the Saturday school timings and made it uniform for government, aided and private schools across the state.
The Education department has issued order stating that henceforth, classes will be conducted from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm on Saturdays. Different districts in the state had different timings region-wise. In some places it was 8 am to 12 pm and in some other places, it was 7.30 am to 11.30 am.

Now, uniform timing has been implemented for all schools and instructions have been given to follow the new timing for all schools including government, aided, and private schools.
The Education Department has given relaxation to teachers along with children. Now that the time has been changed to 8.30 AM, it will also be convenient for teachers to mark their attendance. The government has made online attendance mandatory and teachers would face problems if attendance was not marked at the correct time.
