BENGALURU: Former minister and BJP leader R Ashoka, before entering the start of the budget presentation by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, said it will impose a debt burden on the people of Karnataka. “This budget will imposes a burden on the common people. This is a 100 per cent loan budget and it is a poor budget”, he remarked.

“The chief minister has told some MLAs that they should not seek any funds for development for the next one year. This is the kind of development the Congress will bring”,  Ashok said, criticising Siddaramaiah’s budget.

Ashoka said Congress leaders are worried following the developments in Maharashtra and Bihar. “Deputy CM D K Shivakumar used to say that no one is a friend or an enemy. He spoke about it like a puzzle. I don’t know when there will be an explosion in Congress”, he said.

“The transfer mafia has increased in the state. The Maharashtra’s model can come to Karnataka too. The BJP will not say ‘no’ to anyone who wants to join, and anyone can join the party. As to who will emerge as Ajit Pawar in Karnataka will be knowm in some time. We are ready for everything”, Ashok added.
