Speeding car kills two-wheeler rider on Attibele road; Two seriously injured

The car driven by two doctors which rammed into a two-wheeler, killing the rider.

BENGALURU: One person was killed and two people sustained grievous injuries after a rashly driven car knocked down a two-wheeler rider and ran over a roadside vendor’s legs near Neralur on the Attibele highway in the wee hours on Saturday.

Two doctors of a private hospital were in the car and were heading from Attibele towards Chandapura on the service road when their car hit a two-wheeler, killing the rider. The car also ran over the legs of a vendor who was sleeping by the roadside and one of the occupants of the car to is said to be in a serious condition.

Srinivas, an ambulance driver, who shifted the injured to hospital.

Srinivas, a driver with an ambulance service, said when he received a call from his owner about the accident, he reached the spot and found the two-wheeler rider dead and the roadside vendor injured. “I shifted the injured vendor and the driver of the car to a hospital. There were two people in the car, but one of them had fled. The two-wheeler rider’s body was shifted to Oxford Hospital”.
