HASSAN: Five days after a sexual assault case was registered against BJP MP Prajwal Revanna and his father and former minister H D Revanna, who is the prime accused in the case, a special homa and puja were performed for their family deity at his residence in Holenarasipur to get them out of troubles.
Revanna also visited a temple in Hassan early in the morning and offered special prayers to the deity. He performed homa at his house before leaving for Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had directed Revanna and Prajwal Revanna to appear before the office today on the ‘obscene video’ case.
An FIR has been registered against Prajwal and H D Revanna at Holenarsipur Town police station based on a complaint by a former domestic help. Revanna has been named as the main accused while Prajwal Revanna is accusd No. 2 in the FIR registered under Sections 354A, 354D, 506, and 509 of the IPC for sexual harassment, intimidation, and outraging the dignity of a woman.
The victim, who has lodged the complaint, had worked at HD Revanna’s house in 2015. The Special Investigation Team has issued notices to both Revanna and his son. Also, SIT sources said that two pen drives of 32 GB and 8 GB have already been seized and sent to the forensic science laboratory to retrieve more evidence.
