CHAMARAJANAGAR: Housing Minister V Somanna, who launched his campaign in Varuna Assembly constituency on Friday, began his campaign in Chamarajanagar on Saturdy. He will campaign in the constituency for two days. In Varuna, Somanna is pitted against Congress leader Siddaramaiah.
Somanna began in campaign in Chamarajanagar by offering prayers at the Kudlur Manteswamy temple. At Alur, he paid respects at the burial site of former governor B Rachaiah.
At that time, a BJP worker approached him saying that his loan is not being sanctioned. Somanna promised him that he would ensure that the finance institution officials come to his door or else he would give the loan himself.
Somanna was scheduled to visit Chandakavadi, Ankashettipura, Arakalavadi and other villages.
