BENGALURU: An FIR has been filed against social media influencer Manju alias Amaku Dumuku at the Annapoorneshwari Nagar police station after he allegedly refused to pay the bill and issuing murder threats at a resto-bar at Muddinapalya on Ullal Main Road on the night of July 9.
Manju alias Amaku Dumuku went to a resto-bar and had food and alcohol. At that time, he allegedly misbehaved with a female staff member who asked for the bill. When the female staff stopped Manju as he was leaving and questioned him, he is accused of acting drunk and demanding a selfie photo. He also allegedly tried to assault the pub manager present at the spot and issued a murder threat.
In a drunken state, he misbehaved with the female staff who came to take the order.. He allegedly created a scene saying “I want her only, send her”. Manju had gone to the pub after finishing a promotion and consuming alcohol. At that time, he insisted that a particular woman staffer only should come to take the order. When a woman came to take the order, he said “Not you, send her only”.
When that young woman came to take the order, he gave her his mobile and said, “Save the number. Also charge the mobile”, and shouted at her. When she refused, he allegedly abused her in foul language, pulled her hand and forced her to take a photo.
The manager came to the spot, handled the situation and sent them out. Two days later, a complaint was registered by Geetha, who is in charge of pub promotions. The rest-o-bar owner, Gagan said, “We have no connection to that incident. We had told Geetha to handle the pub promotion and it was she who called that person. There was just an argument at that time.”
An FIR has been registered against Manju alias Amuku Dumuku and his friends. Annapoorneshwari Nagar Police have issued notice to the accused to appear for questioning.
