GADAG: Furniture including smart boards, LED lights and window, which were supposed to help students in learning, were destroyed at the government model senior primary and high school at Shigli village in Lakshmeshwar taluk.
Miscreants have destroyed school property causing outrage among locals. The government school at Shigli has a history of 160 years. During the holidays, the miscreants have destroyed smart boards, windows, lights and furniture worth lakhs of rupees.
The villagers have demanded that the authorities trace and arrest those who damaged school property and committed mischief. A case has been registered in Lakshmeshwar police station and further investigation is under way.
