Six arrested in connection with suspicious death of undergraduate student

BENGALURU: In major development in connection with the suspicious death of an undergraduate student, Marvesh, earlier this week, six people have been arrested, said DCP (East Division) Bheemashankar Guled.

Speaking to media persons on Friday, the DCP said Karthik, Abhishek, Nelson, Rocky, Daniel and Srikanth were arrested and all are aged between 20 and 21 years. Among the arrested, Karthik, Abhishek and Nelson are college dropouts and all three have criminal cases against them. A history sheet has also been opened in Ramamurthynagar against Karthik and he had signed a bond during the election on not indulging in criminal activities.

Bhimashankar Guled further said a history sheet will be opened against Abhishek and Nelson in the next few days, who were involved in this murder.

A friend of the deceased had admitted during interrogation that he was in love with a girl, but the girl was in love with someone else. She informed her boyfriend about this who, in turn, informed Rocky about this. On the day of the murder, Daniel and Rocky took Marvesh from the college and handed him over to Karthik, Nelson and Abhi. The three attacked Marvesh mercilessly with PVC pipes and killed him, DCP Guled added.

An undergraduate student, Marvesh was found dead under suspicious circumstances a few days ago. He was pursuing B.Com at a private college in the city. The Hennur police are conducting further investigations.
