BENGALURU: Former minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan has challenged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to show his strength by delivering a corruption-free administration since the Congress came to power of the back of freebies it has promised ahead of the Assembly elections.

“They announced the Bhagyas or schemes and promised that they will implement the projects without any condition. But now they have failed to keep their word”, Ashwath lashed out at the CM. “Everyone needs quality education. The poor are deprived of quality education. Let’s if CM has the capacity to provide skills and quality education”, he said.

Taking a dig at the CM, Ashwath Narayan asked, “Siddaramaiah, you have many years of experience, right? If you have the ability, show your concern by providing quality education to all, no one should be deprived of education. You want people to be uneducated and helpless. Do you know why quality education should be provided?” the BJP leader Ashwath questioned.

Ashwath Narayan said the people are blaming the government, the CM and his family for the transfer mafia and payments. “Show your strength by giving corruption-free governance in the state”, Ashwath Narayan challenged the chief minister.
