MYSURU: With speculation rife about her return to state politics, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Shobha Karandlaje has brushed it aside saying that she has nothing to do with such rumours.

“The party has given me a big opportunity by making me a Union minister. I have no connection with all the talk doing the rounds”, she insisted.

Training her guns on Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, she likened him to a tiger with a cow’s face. “Let him place his hand on his heart and say what he has done for the development of Mysuru. Not one decision on development was taken during his five-year tenure”, she said.

“The only development he did was to divide Lingayats and backward classes. What they couldn’t do then, he’s now saying they’ll do it in future. All of Siddaramaiah’s statements are just gimmicks”, Shobha remarked.

Further, she said D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah are competing among themselves for the CM’s post. Siddaramaiah’s recent remarks show the internal tussle within the Congress, she added.
