BAGALKOT: With the water level receding in the Krishna river, a Shiva temple, popularly known as Balappajja’s Gudi, has surfaced near Rabkavi.

The temple is close to a bridge connecting Rabakavi and Mahishawadi and was submerged after the bridge was built. It surfaces only when the water level in the river recedes.

Some activists cleaned up the temple and offered puja.

Some Hindu activists removed all the accumulated silt in the temple, cleaned the surroundings and have made it convenient for other devotees to visit the temple.
