BENGALURU: The Southeast CEN police have arrested a sexual deviant who shared nude photographs of his own girlfriend. He has since been sent to judicial custody.
The accused Sanjay was in a relationship with a woman for the last 10 years and they had physical. Ahead of her wedding, she was informed by her friends about a nude photograph of hers on social media. Shocked, she informed her boyfriend and the two approached the police to lodge a complaint.
The couple, hailing from Tamil Nadu, were living in the city and had recently completed a BE Planning course from a Punjab institute. They had even planned to get married after completing their education.
Deputy Commissioner of Police C K Baba said, “The two knew each other from their younger days and their families knew about their relationship. They did their schooling in Vellore, Tamil Nadu and were living together in Bengaluru. The accused was part of a Telegram group of about 10-12 people wherein they shared semi nude and nude pictures of their partners for some kind of vicarious pleasure. The members of the Telegram group had created several Instagram accounts. The accused Sanjay also had created four Instagram accounts and had shared naked and semi nude pictures”.
Further, he said, “The complainant received the photo from someone else and it was then that she came to know that it was leaked on social media. During our investigation, we came to know that her partner himself was the accused and that there are some other people in different parts of the country who are involved. The accused had also developed a bot which would create nude and semi nude pictures of any picture. Further investigation is on”.
The DCP said the pictures shared on the Telegram group were original pictures of the partners of those in the group and they had shared hundreds of pictures. The accused was nailed through technical evidence. He also ruled out blackmail, but added that it was some sort of sexual depravity.
