Senior police officer holds late-night meet with warring Chadachan, Bhairagonda families

VIJAYAPURA: Additional Director General of Police (law and order) Alok Kumar held a meeting with the notorious Bhairagonda and Chadachan families of Chadachan taluk on the Bhima river banks, and their supporters till late on Tuesday night and stressed on the need to end the decades-long fued.

The senior police officer also warned the warring sides that strict action will be taken if there are more instances of violence involving the two sides. He also stressed that Mallikarjun Chadachan and his wife Vimalabai should surrender. Supporters of Mahadev Bhairagonda and Mallikarjun Chadachan were present at the meeting.

The ADGP also advised the children of the two families to give up rivalry and gun culture and to become good citizens.
