KARWAR: With three people still unaccounted for after the Shirur landslide, a dredger has arrived from Goa and the search operation is expected to commence again from Wednesday.

Eleven people had died in the landslide that occurred on National Highway-66 near Shirur on July 16. While the bodies of eight people were found, three others remained unaccounted for.

The search and rescue effort was called off by the district administration on July 28 due to incessant rain. With the rain receding now, the search will resume from Wednesday.
