BENGALURU: The sexual harassment case filed by a Sandalwood actress against businessman Aravind Reddy is taking a new turn each day. The police have now issued a notice to the actress in connection with her complaint, asking her to appear for inquiry with the relevant documents.

An FIR was registered at Govindaraja Nagar police station, and businessman Aravind Reddy was arrested. The actress had earlier filed a complaint at RR Nagar police station alleging sexual harassment by Aravind Reddy. The case was later transferred to Govindaraja Nagar police station, after which the accused was arrested. Subsequently, the 46th ACMM court granted him bail. The police have now issued a notice to the actress to appear for inquiry with proper documents.

As per the actress’s complaint, Aravind Reddy was spreading false rumours about her and noted that even after she distanced herself he continuously pressured her and insisted that she stay with him. The actress also claimed that Reddy was telling her friends and family bad things about her.

She also alleged that he has been sexually harassing her. The arrested accused, Aravind Reddy, however, responded that they had been living together for two years, that he had spent about five crore rupees on her — including a luxury car, a site, a house, etc. — and that she is now filing a complaint against him because he had asked her to marry him. He also claimed that she is hanging out with another person.

The actress has not yet provided any supporting documents regarding her allegations. The police will investigate how long the accused and the actress have known each other, how they met, and the nature of the alleged harassment, as well as the amount of money he claims to have spent. They have asked the actress to appear for inquiry with supporting documents, but so far no such documents have been submitted.
