BIDAR: The district police have arrested two suspects and seized 29 quintals of PDS rice worth Rs 16 lakh and foodgrains from them, which were being illegally transported to be sold in the black market.
The duo was illegally transporting PDS rice from Bidar to Maharashtra when they were intercepted by the police. A case has been registered at Bagadal police station in this regard.
The police team cracked the network of illegal transport and sale of PDS rice in the black market under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Chennabasavanna Langoti.
