KOLAR: An accused who was arrested in connection with a robbery case escaped from the police station even before he could be produced before a local court.
The Bangarpet police had arrested Chandan Kumar of Mulbagal in connection with a robbery attempt on one Suresh of Byadabele village, and brought him to the police station. However, before he could be taken to court, Chandan Kumar gave the police the slip and escaped.
The police have now launched a hunt for the absconding accused.
