There was huge traffic pile-up between Kaimara and Mullayanagiri.

CHIKKAMAGALUR: With a string of holidays over the weekend and the Dasara festivities, hordes of tourists are crowding Mullayyanagiri, the highest peak in South India.

On Wednesday, traffic was chocked between Kaimara and Mullayyanagiri with heavy traffic for about 15 km. Tourists have been arriving right from 6 am and were stuck in the traffic jam for hours.

With the Neelakurinji flowers in bloom, which happens once in 12 years, thousands of tourists are flocking Mullayyanagiri. This is perhaps the highest number of visitors the peak has sen on a single day.
