BIDAR: Retired Mumbai High Court judge, Justice B G Kolse Patil, made a controversial statement at a Sufi saints’ conference organised by MLC Salim Ahmed in Basavakalyan in Bidar district on Sunday evening. The event was inaugurated by Environment Minister Eshwar Khandre.

He said that Hinduism is not a religion, but a Persian word, and that it was created by Brahmins to enslave people. He alleged that the RSS is responsible for all the riots in the country, including the Sikh riots, and that many people are afraid to speak against the RSS.

Justice Patil stated that the word ‘Hindu’ has a derogatory meaning and that there is no such thing as Hindu religion. He claimed that Brahmins created Hinduism using their intelligence and that the current saints and Maulvis should speak about this history. He urged people not to be afraid to speak against the RSS and Brahmins, saying they are only 1 per cent of the population and are cowards.

He further emphasized that people should not fear speaking against the RSS and Brahmins, as they are a minority. The conference was held in Basavakalyan, Bidar district, and was attended by various Sufi saints.
