BENGALURU: In fresh CCTV footages related to The Rameshwaram Cafe blast, the suspect can be seen getting off a BMTC bus on ITPL Main Road, Kundalahalli Colony in Brookefield more than an hour before the explosion. He later enters the restaurant, buys something to eat and leaves in nine minutes.

The suspect got off a bus and fiddled with his bag at the bus stop.

In the CCTV footages that are available, the suspect can be seen putting down his backpack at the bus stop immediately after getting down and it is suspected that he may have set the timer for the explosive there itself. He can also be seen walking with his bag slung over his shoulder near the restaurant.

The videos show the suspect entering the hotel at 11.34 am on March 1, with his head down, looking into his phone. Even while leaving the restaurant at 11.43 am, the suspect can be seen on a call on his mobile phone with the bag on his right shoulder, but it seems lighter.

Meanwhile, the police suspect that he may be from Andhra Pradesh and may have planted the explosive as per a pre-determined plan near the handwash area of the restaurant, unnoticed by any of the other customers. The police suspect that it may have been a trila blast just like the Mangaluru and Shivamogga blasts.
