RAICHUR: Superintendent of Police Nikhil B came to the aid of an aged couple who were involved in a road accident and helped shift them to a hospital in his official vehicle, on Monday.
The car in which the couple Hanumaiah and Sharanamma were travelling had overturned near the seventh mile and the car driver Tirupati had sustained injuries.
The couple hail from Mallapura village and were on their way to Raichur from Sultanpur in Deodurg when the accident occurred.
The SP, who was travelling by the same route, spotted the accident victims and got them admitted to Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).
