BENGALURU: A hoax call about a bomb threat sent employees of a private company into a tizzy at RMZ Eco Space campus in Bellandur on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 2 pm, an unidentified person called the office of BDO Rise Pvt Ltd, a public accounting, tax and advisory firm, warning that a bomb had been planted and would go off soon. The firm staff immediately alerted the Bellandur police who arrived there with the dog squad and a bomb disposal team. The Internal Security Division (ISD) officials also arrived on the spot. But the call turned out to be a hoax.
Initial investigation has revealed that the caller was a former employee of the company who had quit recently. The police are now on the lookout for the caller.
