KARWAR: A Pune-based businessman was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants, who also attacked his wife with a machete at their relative’s house at Hanakona village in Karwar taluk, early on Sunday.

The deceased businessman was identified as Vinayak Nayak (52) who died on the spot. His wife, who was severely injured, is undergoing treatment at the Karwar district hospital.
