CHIKKABALLAPUR: President Droupadi Murmu on Monday participated in the convocation of the Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence at Satya Sai village in Muddenahalli.

The President, who arrived at the HAL airport in the morning, was received by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Energy Minister K J George and others. In the afternoon she proceeded to Sathya Sai village by an Indian Air Force helicopter.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Energy Minister K J George received President Droupadi Murmu in Bengaluru on Monday morning.

After participating in the convocation, the President returned by helicopter to HAL Aiport and onward to Delhi. She was seen off by the governor and Education Minister Dr M C Sudhakar.

In view of the President’s visit, entry of visitors had been banned at Nandi Hills and Skandagiri on Monday by the district administration. Earlier, entry had been restricted on Sunday too, but was later relaxed by Deputy Commissioner P N Ravindra.
