BENGALURU: Popular TV host and actress Anushree tied the knot with a Kodagu native and businessman Roshan in a traditional grand manner at a private resort on the outskirts of the city on Thursday. They entered wedlock at the auspicious muhurtham at 10.56 am.
Anushree’s anchoring skills brought her immense popularity. The bride dazzled in a red Kancheepuram saree, while Roshan looked elegant in a traditional silk shirt and veshti.
Roshan, an IT professional and a businessman, is the son of Ramamurthy and Cecilia. The wedding is reportedly a love-cum-arranged marriage. The wedding attracted widespread attention in the Kannada entertainment industry, with several top stars in attendance. Several TV personalities and film industry dignitaries attended the wedding and wished the couple.
Apart from this, Anushree, a die-hard fan of Puneeth Rajkumar, showcased her love for him by placing his photo in the mandap and decorating it with flowers. She had earlier spoken about her admiration for Appu, saying that he was very close to her. “From the day I started liking cinema, he has been very close to me. He is the only actor I like. After meeting him, I became a fan of his nature and personality”, she said.
The wedding card has gone viral on social media. Photos from the haldi ceremony, which took place a day before the wedding on Wednesday, have also been making the rounds on social media.
In the photos, Anushree and Roshan can be seen dressed in yellow attire, surrounded by sunflower decorations. They were spotted dancing to the song “Bandaro Bandaro Bava Bandaro” from the movie “Su From So.”
Several celebrities, including actor Sharan, senior actress Prema, Dolly Dhananjay, Chaitra Achar, Nagabhushan, singer Vijay Prakash and actor Vijay Raghavendra attended the ceremonies.
